Principal's Corner

My name is Amy Long. This is my first year as Interim Principal at South Smiths Station Elementary. Previously, I was one of the Assistant Principal's at SSHS. Prior to being an administrator, I taught secondary science at Sanford Middle School for nine years, at Austin Junior High in Decatur for two years, and at SSHS for four years. I hold a bachelor's degree in Zoology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine, a Master's in Biology Education, and a Master's in Instructional Leadership from Auburn University. In addition, I am the mother of two teenage sons, Collin (19) and Evan (17), who I think hung the moon.
